Frequently Asked Questions
What royalties does the studio take when our music is released?
0%! Unless otherwise specified beforehand, we do not take any royalties from your projects.
How do I book a session?
First, write to us or give us a call with an idea of your project. We will help you determine the best way to help you realize it. Once we understand what is involved with the project, we will provide you with an estimate of the total cost of the production, and we will ask for a small deposit to confirm your
reservation.
Is it possible to only rent the hall?
For filming and photography sessions, absolutely. The hall cannot be rented for events or concerts.
Can I bring a film crew to film my session?
Yes, absolutely. Please keep in mind that having a film team on site can slow down productions, as the film crew has their own equipment and requirements to manage. This means it may be wise to add some time to your reservation in order to accommodate for this delay. Please let us know beforehand if you would to bring a film crew.
Can I bring smoke machines to the studio?
Because our facility is a 100+ year old church, it is necessary for us to have more sensitive smoke detectors. This means that any sort of effect generator like smoke machines or even bubble machines can set off the alarms, and therefore cannot be used anywhere in our facility.
Can I bring my own sound engineer, or run the session myself as sound engineer?
Do you offer offsite recording?
100% yes! In either of those cases, the house sound engineer will act as an assistant for your session.
We do! Our studio has a mobile setup that can come to your venue for a recording, and then bring the files back to our facility for mixing and mastering.
How many people can the hall accommodate?
This is a difficult question we get asked often. We have done choirs of over 25 singers, and small orchestras and jazz big bands of over 20 musicians at a time. If you’re looking to do a large scale session with us, please give us a call and we can schedule a visit for you to see the hall and discuss the possibilities.
How many isolation booths do you have?
With direct line of sight to the main hall, we have three booths. However, the way our facility is built allows for us to have microphones and musicians in many more rooms for isolation if needed.
Does your facility have a kitchen or somewhere we can store food?
The studio has a small kitchenette with a mini-fridge that you and your team are welcome to use.
Can I come to visit the studio?
Absolutely! It will be our pleasure to meet you! Please reach out to us, and we will make an appointment to show you the studio!
